About

Hi there, I’m Kevin and I’d like to help you learn to make things. I’ve spent many years tutoring students on everything from standardized testing to metalworking, but what I love most is helping people figure out how to make their visions.

Trained as an engineer at Georgia Tech, I’ve worked with Decatur Makers teaching elementary school teachers to use microcontrollers, woodworking tools, and laser cutters. I also worked with the Georgia Tech Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics, and Computing (CEISMC) as an Innovator-In-Residence helping teachers with all things making (3D printing, electronics, woodworking, and more).

Testimonials

“I was curious about 3D printing, but intimidated by the complexity. Kevin helped me choose a printer and then spent a day and a half walking me through assembling it, some fundamentals of 3D design software, and then troubleshooting. I was hooked!” – Maureen
“[Kevin] either showed me how, or was just around to give me courage to try new techniques with someone smart and experienced looking over my shoulder. [Kevin]’s a patient teacher and a craftsman with integrity.” – Joel
